Description
Charlotte Radiology is seeking fellowship-trained Vascular and Interventional Radiologists to join our growing Interventional Radiology section in Charlotte, NC. This partnership-track opportunity offers the ability to practice comprehensive, high-acuity IR within a large, highly subspecialized private practice while collaborating with a dedicated team of IR physicians, APPs, and clinical support staff. Our IR service line includes 16 interventional radiologists supported by dedicated IR clinics, office staff, and more than 40 advanced practice providers who assist with patient consultations, clinical management, and minor procedures across our facilities. Physicians have the opportunity to participate in a broad range of IR services while helping shape the continued growth and future direction of our program.
Position Highlights:
- Partnership-track opportunity within a growing and highly collaborative Interventional Radiology section.
- Join a team of 16 IR physicians providing comprehensive procedural and clinical IR services throughout the Charlotte region.
- Coverage across six hospitals within the Atrium Health system, as well as an outpatient Vein Center.
- Supported by dedicated IR clinics, office staff, and more than 40 APPs providing clinical support, consult management, and procedural assistance.
- Opportunity to practice the full spectrum of high-end IR, including:
- Peripheral arterial disease and critical limb ischemia.
- Venous disease interventions.
- Interventional oncology.
- Liver-directed therapies and embolization.
- Ablation procedures.
- TIPS and BRTO.
- Geniculate, prostate, uterine, and trauma embolization.
- Vertebral augmentation.
- Stroke thrombectomy.

Research and Academic Opportunities:
Charlotte Radiology maintains an active research program supported by dedicated research coordinators and ongoing clinical trials across multiple areas of Interventional Radiology. Current and recent research initiatives include investigational device trials and studies involving peripheral vascular disease, TIPS, tumor embolization, radioembolization, and oncology therapies. Our partnership with Atrium Health and Wake Forest University School of Medicine – Charlotte provides opportunities for physicians to participate in medical education, clinical research, and teaching. Physicians involved in education may receive adjunct academic appointments through Wake Forest School of Medicine.
Position Requirements:
- ABR certified or ABR eligible.
- Fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
- CAQ eligible/certified.
- Strong commitment to high-quality patient care, teamwork, and clinical excellence.
- Highly motivated physician interested in contributing to the continued growth of an innovative IR program.
